Scythe of the Unmaker is the weapon of Argus the Enslaved. Argus was once a titan world, but under the influence of Sargeras and the Legion, it transformed into a living fortress and a weapon of destruction.
The scythe reflects Argus’s dual nature: it combines elements of titanic power and the Legion’s fel corruption.
The two versions of the scythe carry different symbolic meanings:
Blue — a reference to Argus’s original titanic essence, its pure nature before its fall.
Red — a visual representation of the fel corruption, demonic energy, and decay that consumed the titan world.
The scythe drops from the boss Argus the Enslaved in the Antorus, the Burning Throne raid. The drop chance is 0.1 %.
To access this raid, you need to travel to Argus. Here’s how:

To unlock teleportation to Argus, you need to complete a short quest chain on the Broken Isles. For more details on unlocking Argus and the raid, see our guide.
This equipment item can be obtained by any character capable of wielding two‑handed weapons or staves:
The scythe was available for purchase during the Legion: Remix event for 30 000 Bronze Event Coins. However, the event has only run once so far, and there is no information about a potential rerun.
The blue version of the scythe can drop on any raid difficulty. Its appearance changes to red only on Mythic difficulty. The drop chance for both color variants is the same.
