Black Stallion Bridle is a ground mount available only to characters of the Alliance faction. The Black Stallion is one of the classic human riding horses and has been in the game since the original launch of World of Warcraft. Its dark, almost pitch-black coat sets it apart from the other equine mounts of Stormwind.
The item description reads: Rumor has it that SI:7 agents prefer to use these horses for their nightly excursions, due to their dark coats.
The mount provides the standard ground-movement speed bonus, which scales based on your character's riding skill level.
There are two ways to obtain this mount: buying it from a vendor, or receiving it as a quest reward.
The primary and easiest method. The mount is sold by two NPCs:
1. Katie Stokes
To purchase, walk up to either NPC and open the trade window. If your character is a Human, the mount is available immediately. Characters of other Alliance races first need to reach Exalted reputation with Stormwind.
Black Stallion Bridle is on the reward list for the Finding a Mount quest. This quest is available to Human characters who started the game on Exile's Reach. After completing the starting zone and arriving in Stormwind, you'll be asked to speak with Randal Hunter at the Old Town stables, where you can pick a mount as your reward.
Note: the quest offers a choice between several mounts, including the
Black Stallion Bridle. If you choose a different mount, no worries — you can always buy the rest from a vendor for 1 gold.
The most convenient option for most players. Katie Stokes is located in the Old Town district of Stormwind, near the entrance to the SI:7 headquarters. The closest flight point is the Stormwind Trade District.
From the flight master, head southeast across the canal into Old Town. The stables with the NPC are to the right of the SI:7 building.

In addition to the
Black Stallion Bridle, this vendor also offers other equine mount options:
Chestnut Mare Bridle,
Brown Horse Bridle,
Pinto Bridle.
Unger Statforth is located in Menethil Harbor within the Wetlands zone. Historically, this NPC was the only Black Stallion seller until patch 4.0.3a, when Katie Stokes was added to Stormwind.
If your character is not a Human, you'll need Exalted reputation with Stormwind. A few ways to speed up the process:
