Reins of the Admiralty Stallion

Reins of the Admiralty Stallion is an epic ground mount added in patch 8.0.1 of the Battle for Azeroth expansion. It is an elegant white stallion, one of the few mounts permitted aboard Kul Tiran ships. The mount is purchased from Provisioner Fray in Boralus for 10,000 gold once you reach Exalted reputation with the Proudmoore Admiralty faction.

The Admiralty Stallion stands out among the standard Alliance horses. Its cream-colored model features a nautical theme — the saddle and harness are styled after the Kul Tiran navy. The mount is available only to Alliance characters.

To purchase the mount, two conditions must be met: reach Exalted reputation with the Proudmoore Admiralty and have 10,000 gold on hand.

1. Create or pick an Alliance character — the mount is available only to the Alliance
2. Travel to Boralus, the capital of Kul Tiras. Access opens automatically after completing the introductory Battle for Azeroth storyline
3. Complete the main quest chain in Tiragarde Sound — this grants a significant chunk of reputation and unlocks world quests
4. Raise your reputation with the Proudmoore Admiralty to Exalted (42,000 points in total)
5. Find Provisioner Fray in Boralus
6. Purchase the Reins of the Admiralty Stallion for 10,000 gold and use the item to learn the mount

Provisioner Fray is the Proudmoore Admiralty quartermaster. She is located in the Tradewinds Market in Boralus, next to the Harbormaster's office.

How to Get There

1. Head to Boralus — use the portal from Stormwind or a hearthstone bound to this city
2. Make your way to the Tradewinds Market — the central trade plaza of the city
3. Find Provisioner Fray at coordinates 67.5, 21.6

Besides the Reins of the Admiralty Stallion, Provisioner Fray sells gear, profession recipes, the faction tabard, and decorative items. Goods are gated by reputation tiers: some unlock at Honored, more at Revered, and the mounts and tabard at Exalted.

To reach Exalted you need to earn 42,000 reputation points. The main sources are listed below.

World Quests (Primary Source)

World quests in Tiragarde Sound award roughly 75 reputation points per completion. Quests refresh regularly, so it pays to check the map several times a day.

Emissary Quests

When the Proudmoore Admiralty emissary is active, complete four faction world quests to earn 1,500 reputation points. This is one of the largest one-time reputation sources.

Contracts

Characters with the Inscription profession can craft Contract: Proudmoore Admiralty. The contract grants an extra 10 reputation points for every world quest completed in any Battle for Azeroth zone. Contracts can also be bought on the auction house.

Storyline Quests

The main and side quest chains in Tiragarde Sound provide a substantial one-time reputation bonus. The "Pride of Kul Tiras" chain awards 350 points upon completion.

Faction Assaults

The Tiragarde Sound assault awards 500 reputation points, and the related world quests provide additional points.

Island Expeditions

On completion of island expeditions, there is a small chance to receive an item that can be exchanged for 250 reputation points. Reputation tokens can also be purchased for 100 Seafarer's Dubloons.

Mission Table

Missions awarding Proudmoore Admiralty insignia appear on the mission table from time to time.

• Darkmoon Faire — ride the carousel to gain the "WHEE!" buff (+10% reputation gained for 60 minutes). Plan your quests during the faire week
• World Quest Bonus Event — grants +50% reputation from world quests. Watch the in-game event calendar
• Standard of Unity — a guild item that grants +10% reputation

Daily Routine

At max level, Tiragarde Sound content goes quickly. The optimal sequence is:

1. Check whether the Proudmoore Admiralty emissary is active — if so, prioritize world quests for this faction
2. Complete every available world quest in Tiragarde Sound
3. Make sure the Proudmoore Admiralty contract is active and run world quests in other zones for bonus points
4. Check the mission table for insignia missions
5. If a Faction Assault is up — complete it

How Long It Takes

With active daily grinding — including world quests, contracts, and emissary quests — reaching Exalted takes roughly 2–4 weeks. Combining the grind with bonus events and the Darkmoon Faire shortens this window.
