Acid Belcher is a rare ground mount from the Legion expansion. This demonic creature belongs to the family of corrupted hunters and is overflowing with acid — "twice as much acid as a regular demon," as the item description states. The mount was added in patch 7.3 "Shadows of Argus" and drops from Skreeg the Devourer, a rare elite mob located in Mac'Aree on Argus.
To get to Argus and start farming Skreeg the Devourer, you need to complete the introductory quest chain from patch 7.3.
After your first visit to Argus, you can return at any time via the portal at the Krasus' Landing in Dalaran. The portal leads to the Vindicaar, from which you can reach all three Argus zones via beacons.
Skreeg the Devourer is a rare elite mob found in the northern part of Mac'Aree on the Terrace of Kil'jaeden.

Skreeg the Devourer is a demon that uses fear and knockback. At max level, he poses no threat at all, but at lower levels, be cautious:
Experienced players recommend fighting beneath the tree roots southwest of the spawn point — this reduces the chance that fear will drag you into nearby mob packs.
Since loot is available once per day per character, you can significantly increase your attempts by using multiple characters:
With a ~3% drop chance and one attempt per day per character:
| Attempts | Probability of Drop |
|---|---|
| 10 (10 days, 1 character) | ~26% |
| 25 (25 days, 1 character) | ~53% |
| 50 (50 days, 1 character) | ~78% |
| 75 (25 days, 3 characters) | ~90% |
| 100 (25 days, 4 characters) | ~95% |
Using multiple characters dramatically cuts down the total farming time.
If you're farming the Acid Belcher, take a look at the other corrupted-hunter mounts as well — all of them drop from Argus rare mobs at a similar chance (~3%):
| Mount | Mob | Location | Coordinates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pusillin / Vrax'thul | Antoran Wastes | 64.0, 20.8 / 53.0, 36.6 | |
| Blistermaw | Antoran Wastes | 61.8, 37.6 | |
| Houndmaster Kerrax | Antoran Wastes | 63.8, 22.0 | |
| Skreeg the Devourer | Mac'Aree | 49.7, 9.9 |
You can farm all four mobs in a single Argus run — it takes no more than 10–15 minutes once you have the beacons unlocked.
Check the rare mob rotation before flying out to the coordinates. If Skreeg isn't there, wait for the next 4-hour window or check whether a world quest is up for him
Farm in parallel — while you're on Argus, kill the other rare mobs as well for their mounts, pets, and achievements. This greatly improves time efficiency
Use teleport beacons — after fully unlocking the Argus quest chain, you gain access to beacons that let you instantly travel between zones
Watch the Black Market — Argus mounts sometimes appear on the Black Market Auction House. If you have enough gold, it can be faster than a multi-day farm
Don't forget the daily reset — loot refreshes every day. Make a habit of logging into Argus daily on several characters to maximize your chances
