Acid Belcher

Acid Belcher is a rare ground mount from the Legion expansion. This demonic creature belongs to the family of corrupted hunters and is overflowing with acid — "twice as much acid as a regular demon," as the item description states. The mount was added in patch 7.3 "Shadows of Argus" and drops from Skreeg the Devourer, a rare elite mob located in Mac'Aree on Argus.

• Rarity — the drop chance is about 3%, and the mob itself doesn't spawn constantly, which makes the mount genuinely rare in any collection
• Unique Model — the Acid Belcher belongs to a series of four corrupted-hunter mounts from Argus: Crimson Slavermaw, Biletooth Gnasher, Vile Fiend, and the Acid Belcher itself. Each has a unique color scheme
• Collection Value — one of the mounts required for the "Argus Explorer" achievement and for a complete Legion-era mount collection
• Easy Farming — at max level, the mob dies within seconds, and the farm itself doesn't require running any dungeons or raids

To get to Argus and start farming Skreeg the Devourer, you need to complete the introductory quest chain from patch 7.3.

Requirements

• A character at level 45 or higher
• Start the quest "The Hand of Fate" from Khadgar in Dalaran (Broken Isles).

Step-by-Step Access

1. Travel to Dalaran (Broken Isles). If you have a Hearthstone bound there, use it. Otherwise, take a portal from your faction's capital.
2. Pick up the quest "The Hand of Fate" from Khadgar.
3. Follow the storyline quest chain — it will guide you through the first three zones of Argus: Krokuun, Mac'Aree, and the Antoran Wastes.
4. After unlocking Mac'Aree, you'll gain access to its world quests and rare mobs.

Quick Return

After your first visit to Argus, you can return at any time via the portal at the Krasus' Landing in Dalaran. The portal leads to the Vindicaar, from which you can reach all three Argus zones via beacons.

Skreeg the Devourer is a rare elite mob found in the northern part of Mac'Aree on the Terrace of Kil'jaeden.

Spawn Mechanics

• Argus rare mobs follow a rotation system: every 4 hours a new set of rares activates
• Skreeg may be unavailable in the current rotation window — in that case, you'll have to wait for the next cycle
• If Skreeg is the target of a world quest, he is available throughout the duration of the quest and spawns more frequently
• Each character can loot Skreeg only once per day

Skreeg's Abilities

Skreeg the Devourer is a demon that uses fear and knockback. At max level, he poses no threat at all, but at lower levels, be cautious:

• Fear — the mob can fear your character, causing random movement and potentially pulling nearby mobs
• Knockback — can knock you off position

Experienced players recommend fighting beneath the tree roots southwest of the spawn point — this reduces the chance that fear will drag you into nearby mob packs.

Multiple Characters

Since loot is available once per day per character, you can significantly increase your attempts by using multiple characters:

• Run each alt through the Argus introductory quest chain
• Check for Skreeg daily and kill him on every available character
• The mount is account-wide bound on pickup, so it doesn't matter which character it drops on

Tracking Rare Mobs

• Install the RareScanner or SilverDragon addon — they will automatically alert you when Skreeg the Devourer is active during your play session
• Use the TomTom addon to display coordinates on your map
• If you see a world quest for Skreeg, don't put it off — this is the best time to farm

Time Estimate

With a ~3% drop chance and one attempt per day per character:
