This is a melee fighter whose primary stat is Agility.
Enhancement Shaman is a master of the elements who imbues their weapons with the power of fire, ice and wind to deliver devastating melee strikes.
The signature mechanic of the spec is managing the Maelstrom energy resource and the stacks of Maelstrom Weapon. The gameplay revolves around rapidly building stacks for instant-cast spells and sustaining a high attack frequency.
Strengths
- High burst damage both on single targets and in AoE.
- Unique group utility:
Windfury Totem, plus cooldown reduction on allies' abilities. - Short-cooldown spell interrupt:
Wind Shear. - Excellent mobility thanks to

Weaknesses
- Proc-reliant: damage can be inconsistent when Maelstrom stacks do not generate well.
- Relatively fragile compared to other melee classes.
- Busy rotation with many buttons and procs, demanding high focus — missed procs disrupt the rotation and lead to major damage loss.

Leveling
While leveling, use Windfury Weapon on your main hand. Start each fight with Flame Shock to activate passive bonuses. Use Healing Surge instantly at 5+ Maelstrom Weapon stacks to minimize downtime between trash packs.
Mythic+ Tips
Capacitor Totem is your best friend for controlling large groups of enemies.
Purge lets you remove beneficial effects from enemies, which is critical in Midnight.
Always keep the Windfury Totem buff up; it should be active 100% of the fight.
