Fouren has been playing World of Warcraft for over 15 years. He is an active player with 12 Cutting Edge achievements under his belt, and has reached the top 1% and 0.1% multiple times on various classes. His main classes are healers, particularly Holy Paladin.
This is a healer whose main stat is Intellect. In combat they use a one-handed sword and shield (there are also two-handed Intellect builds, but they are less popular due to the rarity of such weapons and the inability to use abilities that require a shield). A unique feature of this healer is the Holy Power resource, which is built up and then spent on powerful abilities.

The core healing abilities will be available to you from level one. Use 
Holy Shock and Flash of Light to restore health for yourself or party members.
As you level up you will gain new abilities. We recommend sticking to the ability priority from the Rotation section.
Since healers have had their spell interrupt removed, use 
Hammer of Justice to stun/interrupt a single target and 
Blinding Light for AoE interrupts.
Some slows/roots can be removed not by dispelling, but with 
Blessing of Freedom. This lets you help a party member while saving your dispel for more important debuffs.
If a party member dies during combat and you urgently need to resurrect them, use 
Intercession to bring them back to the fight. > Combat resurrections have a shared 10-minute cooldown. Charges accumulate every 10 minutes, and the longer you stay in a dungeon the more charges you will have. You can resurrect several allies at once if you have enough charges.
