Frost Death Knight (FDK) is a melee DPS that can use either a two-handed weapon or dual-wield one-handed weapons. The class mechanic revolves around abilities that generate resources and others that spend them, making it ideal for players who enjoy following a strict rotation to maximize character effectiveness.
Here you can see the talent heatmap. We collect data from the top 100 Frost Death Knight players and show how many of them choose each talent.

You can always see the latest talent trees for each hero spec in the dedicated section for Frost Death Knights.
Don't forget to explore our class pages, where not only the best items in the slot are available, but also other alternatives for any class, spec or situation:
From level one you will already have damage-dealing abilities. The main abilities at early levels are
Frost Strike and
Death Strike. As you level up you will gain new abilities, approaching the full rotation. We recommend following the ability priority from the rotation section.
If your group has few classes capable of interrupting spells or you expect to fight many spell-casting mobs, make sure to take the talent
Cold Thirst. When interrupting abilities you will gain 10 Runic Power and the cooldown will be reduced by 3 seconds, allowing you to interrupt dangerous enemy spells more frequently.
Take the talent
Asphyxiate if your group lacks crowd control effects. This ability allows you to stun a target for 5 seconds, preventing it from casting dangerous spells.
Try to use
Death Grip as often as possible on mobs that constantly channel spells and do not move. This ability will interrupt the cast and pull the annoying mob to you.
